Claire Hennessy, aka, Xue Li (李雪), is a scholar, writer and translator. She was full-time lecturer of English at Dalian University of Technology in China from 2006 to 2013 and the Fulbright Mandarin lecturer at California State University San Bernardino from 2011 to 2012. 


Claire began her doctoral study in English Literature at Claremont Graduate University from 2013-2016 and reapplied to pursue her second doctoral study in Comparative Literature at University of Southern California from 2017-2020.Since then, Claire left USC to work independently on literature.

Her research interests include a comparative study of Chinese and European narratologies, dewesternizing translation theories, desire and the self (psychoanalysis), and philosophical ethics. Claire's works have been published in Boundary 2 and PMLA.
